Beijing: Six Pandas from Sichuan Meet with Tourists2009-05-03 Sun 14:57
Six pandas from National Panda Protection Center in Ya An of Sichuan province, known to "National Day Panda", start to meet with tourists from China and foreign countries in Beijing Zoo on May 1 after one-day rest.
In the first day, these 6 pandas are adapting to the Beijing-based new home where some of them walking besides pond, some of them playing with pole, some of them tasting fresh bamboo at lawn, they are very cute and lively. All the tourists watching them through a glass wall cann't help to shooting such wonderful moment by their camera. These 6 pandas named as Huaao, Jingyi, Wenyu, Xiangge, Shuilin and Qingfeng were born in 2007 survived in the Sichuan earthquake, who plan to attend one-year exhibition for National Day in Beijing Zoo. Many residences in Beijing gathered to Beijing Zoo after receiving the news about 6 pandas coming to Beijing. "My daughter likes panda so much, we were greeting and sending off the Olympic pandas last year", Mrs An, a Beijing resident, said to journalist with her daughter. A lot of preparations has been done for 6 pandas can have a one-year happy journey in Beijing Zoo, where provide them 150 kg fresh bamboo and 12 kg bamboo shoot every day, and other accessories including apple, carrot, milk powder, steamed corn bread and trace elements.
